Blue R34 GT-R

Here is a very nice example of a clean R34, I really have to get used to no spoiler look but it works pretty good. Matthew Mead shot these photo’s at the Circuit Club at Wakefield Park in Australia. There were alot of high powered cars, like an EVO 9 (more on that one later) and a nicely modded S2000.

You just can’t beat that Top Secret front bumper, the colour of the car also works very well. The car has the almighty RB26 with twin HKS gt25 turbo’s and uprated internals.

1

Love the spoiler less look in this picture, the car sits on a Aragosta suspension and is adjustable in every thinkable way.

2

Nismo sideskirts and a Top Secret diffusor, the ideal aero package.

3

Never saw these rims before, they are Racing Sparco Vipers in 18″. behind the rims you can see the Endless brake assembely

Nissan S14?

Today Auto Otaku updated his site with another great coverage of the Mooneyes Street Car Nationals. One car caugh my attention and that was this R34 or so it looked like a R34 at first glance. Upon closer inspection it was definalt not an R34 but a S14. Then I rememberd a similar car that Dino Dalle Carbonare shot back in 2005.

1

This the car that Auto Otaku shot, the owner has made some changes in the paint department. The SR20 is still in place and got a nice chrome finish

s141

The car was sprayed in a special chameleon paint scheme, what do you guys think of the design?

s146

Carbon fibre center console and custom dash, you wouldn’t get bored with an interior like this that’s for sure

s144

Even the rear light clusters from the R34 found it’s way to this car.

Massive 19″ Volk GT-V rims, also notice the Porsche brake caliper 😉

D1GP round 2 results

The D1GP has had it’s second round, a few new cars and interesting results. Round 2 was held at Fuji Speedway. This was also the first round where Nobuteru would make his retunr in his HKS altezza. He would finish 9th, that’s a really good performance for his first outing and against some stiff competition.

Here we have our number one, Yoshinori Koguchi

Daigo Saito finished second, really love this pic, did you noticed the intercooler piping behind the headlights?

1

And Tezuka finished third with his Bee*R R32

2

Ken Nomura is still my favorit allthough I really like his ‘old’ bodykit better. He finished 8th place

4

Tokita didn’t get passed qualifying, really love this car. Who would ever though we would see a Toyota Crwon enter the D1?

6

Not sure to whom this car belongs to but I just like the colour and the Wise Square bodykit.

Sard JZA80 Supra

Another red car, but this one is a bit special. The car has been build Sard in Japan with a custom one off bodykit. Sard is known for there fuelling products but they also race with a Toyota Team SARD JZA80 Supra. The bodykit used for that race car is the same one as you see on this car. The owner got the bodykit from the SARD racing team.

1

A true wideboy, the kit is made from carbon, so expect some serious cash if you want something similar.

2

The exhaust is made by HKS and was specifically made for this car, the spoiler is a one off made by SARD

4

19″ Work Meister rims, and an adjustable Aragosta suspension makes sure this car has the right ride height

5

The famous 2JZGTE with 640hp, courtesy of the T44R turbo made by HKS. The car even has NOS installed.

Here is a nice clip were you will hear the car race through a tunnel

Defend Racing 180SX

I saw the new line up of URAS bodykits on the the Tokyo Auto Salon this year, but I did not liked them one bit. They were to box shaped and they didn’t enhance the looks of the car. But when I saw this Defend Racing 180SX it definatly changed my mind on this particular kit. The kit for the ER34 is still ugly 😉

In front of Garage Defend, perfect stance and wheel setup. Red and white works good on this car. Also nice to see a 180SX that wasn’t built for drifting but for circuit racing

Here you see the car in a pitbox on Suzuka Circuit. HKS had organised a circuit race day for it’s customers. The grid ranged from Supra’s to Porsches.
