Hi Octane Time Attack R32

When the Time Attack event was held last year december at Tsukuba there were more countries present beside the UK participants. Hi Octane Racing from Australia where also there to show the Japanese how they do it in Australia. They brought their R32 GT-R over and managed a 59.6 seconds run. A really impressive achievement

Today they were present at a Time Attack event at Oran Park that got canceled due to bad weather. Luckily our man from down under was present and shot these amazing shots.

1

The Ohlins suspension system makes sure it goes hard through the bends. The rest of the suspension system consits of Ikeya Formula arms.

2

Side exit exhaust and some Nismo body parts, no Fancy stuff just made to go fast. Tires are made by Dunlop and are semi slicks for that extra grip on the track.

5

You can see a colour change on the door that’s because they are made from carbon, the windows are from lexan to shave some more weight of the car

4

These are made by Enkei but are branded as AME wheels. They are a set of Tracers TM-02 in 18″x10.5 ET+22. The brake setup is made by AP racing and has a 6 pot in the front and a 4 pot in the rear.

3

The powersource, the almighty RB26DETT. The engine is being helped by alot of Tomei goodies and it runs on a Autronic ECU.

MCR participates in new Hot Version DVD

Hot Version is working on a new DVd that will feature the R35 GT-R from MCR. The last few weeks MCR has been working hard to get their suspension dialed in correctly. Funny thing is that they conducted all the tests on the normal road, so no cicruit testing was involved.

the test will be conducted at the famous touge that is featured in all the Hot Version DVD’s

1

Other contenders are the Fujita Engineering RX7, J’s Racing S2000 and a RX7 build by RE Amemiya. This vid is gonna be good, I’m really anxious to see how the ‘heavy’ R35 will cope with the thight and sharp turns on the touge.

Mine’s R35 arrived in the US

Eric Hsu from JDM Indsider got some pictures of the Mine’s R35 GT-R that has been stored at M-workz awaiting it’s appearance in the new The Fast And The Furious movie.

Mine’s has two examples, this one is the mildly tuned version with their signature Sachs coilovers, Recaro’s, Takata harnesses and a ECU reflash

The Mine’s exhaust is in place and the carbon upper wing element has been added to spice things up.

Standard brakes apart from the rotors in the front and rear. You can also clearly see the difference in ride height compared to the stock R35.

And last but certainly not least a carbon front lip was added. I wonder what kind of a role this car will play in the new movie, I’m thinking it will just be cameo. Mine’s main goal is to set up shop in the US.
