Silvia Super Silhouette

Here is some history for you guys, because GrandJDM is still offline. I always used to have my dosis of old school vintage cars form GrandJDM but as they seem to have lost the battle with the hackers, please pay them a visit and help them out.the link to their can be found in my blogroll or below this post.

This is the machine driven by K. Hoshino at the Fuji Super Silhouette races (held between 1979 and 1984). Super Silhouette cars looked like production cars outside, but sported Formula car engineering inside. In accordance with international Group 5 regulations, the engine was the same twin-carb LZ20B (570PS) used in the Skyline Super Silhouette

Did you always wonder where the Bosazuka guys got thier inspiration from? After seeing this car there is no doubt. Offcourse the Bosazuka boys took their bodykits a step further, but this is where it al started. Here are a two video’s from this legendary machine, I hope you will enjoy, I sure did.

They managed to get 570ps from a two liter engine. The torque these engine’s produced was maybe even more impressive, 539nm to be precise.

G Saurus updates their Ferrari

Garage Saurus has been busy the last few days updating their Ferrari. After their last test runs on Fuji and Suzuka they have decided on a new suspension system. The brand of choice is Quantum, in my book these are one of the best out there besides Öhlins and Esta. Quantam also delivers the schoks for the Epson NSx that runs in the SuperGT.

A set of these springs for your Ferrari 550 Maranello will set you back $4800 or 3000 euro.

1

The set even looks expensive, how a man could wish he had something like this on his car.

2

This ride height gets my approval, nice AP racing pots behind the black rims

3

Still a force to be reckoned with, it’s cool to see that Garage Saurus doesn’t cut corners in this build

Job Design Celsior UCF30

Thought it was time for some VIP again, Job Design has just finished building this car for a customer. It’s an Toyota Celsior UCF30, this time not finished in the usual black but in a nice burgundy red.

1

In true VIP style, a four door big saloon. Job design offers this bodykit in the Difference series, they also produce this kit for the Lexus GS and older models of this Celsior.

2

We saw these rims before on the R35 from Sunline, the rims suit this car better. The rims are Works Varianza Schwert SC1. the car isn’t dropped on airbags like the usual VIP cars but it just lowered on some springs.

3

Job Design can also offer this kit with a twin exhaust on either ends.

MCR’s R35 GT-R

MCR took their R35 to Hakone to do some more testing, luckily for us they took this really nice picture. Endless is very involved in the development of this car, they are constantly checking the calipers and rotor wear. This again is a testament at the quality of tuning that comes from Japan.
