TAS is upon us enjoy the following posts 🙂

There’s the money shot, the canards in the rear have a striking resemblance with the DTM cars featured on Speedhunters
Nobuteru had is first outing with this car during the second round of the D1GP. For it’s first outing it did really great against all the others that didn’t had a break and could maintain there skill. In the end he finished 9th with this car.
Such a cool car. The MSR graphics and the gold Advan RS work very well together. Behind the wheels you can see the 6 pot Endless brakes for that much needed stopping power.
At first I didn’t realised there were two cars, bot these cars are both running the 3SGE Beams engine. The one with the stickers is there competition car and the other one is their test car. It is running
Fuel cell and an exta large fuel pump are needed to feed the 850cc injectors. The exhaust is an one off prototype made by HKS.
The man himself, thinking about his chances. Both car are running the Hypermax D suspension, this setup isn’t out yet for the public.
The competition car is called the IS220-Z. They also have an R version and that one is running an 2JZ with a stroker kit from HKS that increases its capacity to 3400cc. HKS doesn’t mentions it’s horsepower figures.
How’s this for an working space? These car are build with such a high standards, they are truly full fledged racing cars. Oofcourse HKS put all their electronic gadgets in this car like the CAMP2, F-con Pro and EVC system.
After HKS and Nobuteru announced that they would return to the D1 they have been busy getting the car ready. Here are the first pictures of the car getting it’s shakedown.
The Altezza is running a modified 3SGE engine with a 2.2 litre stroker engine with a GT2835 turbo. Not sure if the output of the car has been changed, the ‘older’ car managed a respectable 430ps.
Getting the car sideways aint a problem according to these pictures 🙂
The man himself, Nobuter Taniguchi, I still think he has the best nickname ever NOB, No One Better.
New wing mirrors, and very large Advan RS rims. Also notice the cooling vent besided the towing hook. The turbo is mounted just beneath that vent.
Nobuteru Taniguchi is said to return to the D1 this year. He will do a few rounds because of his busy schedule in other racing departments. HKS has updated his Altezza with new graphics and probably with some new engine parts.
The car is pushing out 600ps thanks to a 2.2 litre stroker kit made by HKS and a GT3037 Turbo. They have gutted the car and now it has a weight just shy of 1100kg. That’s 400kg lighter than a standard model, an amazing achievement.
The first round where NOB will make his debut will be on the 26th and 27th of April. D1GP will then go the Fuji Speedway, I really can’t wait to see what Nob can do against the rest of the field. I know I will be cheering for Nomuken 😉
