3D Design E92 M3

When the Ericcson M3 was a bit too much for you than maybe this 3D Design has a better answer. They have a very subtle approach and only offer a new carbon frontlip and a carbon insert that surrounds the exhausts.

As you can see there hasn’t been much of a change in the back really except for the carbon diffusor. I know that alot of people like it that way, why change something when it allready looks good.

Don’t you just love JDM wheels on Euro cars, 3D Design has used black Volk Te37 on this demo car. I think it looks just right and goes pretty well with the white car. The carbon frontlip makes the car just look that bit better.

Car Magazine And their R35 test

Today the magazine Car will be available where they tested the R35 GT-R. They tested the car against the Audi R8, BMW M3 and a specially modified Porsche Turbo by Porsche itself. I can already give you the times the cars did around the track of Rockingham in England.

  • Nissan GTR – 82.10 seconds with a top speed of 109.7mph
  • Porsche 911 turbo – 83.10 seconds with a top speed of 114mph
  • Audi R8 – 83.83 seconds with a top speed of 107.9mph
  • BMW M3 – 85.58 seconds with a top speed of 106.2 mph

So there you have it, the Nissan is victorius again. Allthough the Porsche managed to get a higher topspeed it lost precious seconds around the corners.

Drift BMW widebody Touring E36

Drifting in Holland is popular to a certain degree, everyone talkes about it and tries it. But there are only a few people that do it on a proffesional level. One of those people is Paul Vlasblom. He has a company that specialises in Porsche and BMW’s. So for him it was a natural step to start drifting in BMW. But not just a ordinay BMW, no he started in this BMW E36 Touring.

Drifting is also about geting noticed and to showoff. In England he is known as the guy with the loudest exhaust note. And in Holland he is just known as the Driftking. I worked with him in his shop and on a few events.

To car has been build to D1 standards, with extra lightweight doors, hood and trunk made out of FRP. It has a D1 approved rollcage and all the necessary safety precautions. The engine got swapped out of a M3, so now it has 3.2 motor. To help it breath it has a Hamann carbon airbox. The exhaust gasses are guided through a custom made exhaust from the front to the back. Thanks to the 2 shrick camshafts and the reprogrammed ECU the cars puts out a hefty 381bhp and 450Nm.

The most imported thing on a drift car is offcourse the suspension and handling part of the car. This car has a completely adjustable Intrax suspension system and a modified M5 rear differential.

The picture I took was taken at a friendly raceday where people could get a passenger ride with Paul Vlasblom. You can see our cars in the pits also, the ER34 and the R334

First of is this Dry Carbon hood that weighs 5.9kg (normal weight 11.75kg)

the their are the Dry Carbon Sidesteps on the front bumper that weigh 1.4kg (normal weight 2.25kg)

On the rear we can find this Dry Carbon Trunk with a weight of 3.2kg (normal weight 11.8kg)

On the exhaust side of things we have this Full Titan Power Exhaust System with a weight of 23.4kg (normal weight 47.1kg)

On a final note we have this peace of art that we call the Titan Exhaust Manifold STTI. There are no characteristics known at this time.

Ericsson E60 BMW M5

Ericsson has made a very good start with their M480 Concept M3. Allthough that car got all the attention, Ericsson also made a few products for it’s bigger brother. The E60 M5

They designed a carbon fibre hood and trunk, a titanium exhasut and front lip spoiler. All these products can be bought through Bulletproof Automotive.
