Mine’s and MCR go up against each other

After this post where you could see the Sunline r35 and the MCR R35 getting ready to attack the Sendai Highlands circuit another picture came available, but this time with a other contender; It’s the Mine’s R35.

Mine’s R35 Carbon Front Splitter

Mine’s have just realeased some pictures of their front splitter for the R35. The have altered the design of the splitter and you can clearly see how it differs from the standard splitter.

It’s not just a splitter like the one on your Honda, as you can see here.

Mine’s R35 arrived in the US

Eric Hsu from JDM Indsider got some pictures of the Mine’s R35 GT-R that has been stored at M-workz awaiting it’s appearance in the new The Fast And The Furious movie.

Mine’s has two examples, this one is the mildly tuned version with their signature Sachs coilovers, Recaro’s, Takata harnesses and a ECU reflash

The Mine’s exhaust is in place and the carbon upper wing element has been added to spice things up.

Standard brakes apart from the rotors in the front and rear. You can also clearly see the difference in ride height compared to the stock R35.

And last but certainly not least a carbon front lip was added. I wonder what kind of a role this car will play in the new movie, I’m thinking it will just be cameo. Mine’s main goal is to set up shop in the US.

Black Dominator

This R34 has some very cool parts like the AP 6 pot brakes and Nismo R tune additions to the motor. The rims are TE37 18 inch covered in black just like the car.

    

Mine’s R35 update

Nick @ Kanzen Performance has send me some pictures today and told me that Mine’s managed another record time at Fuji Speedway. They recorded a time of 1:51.258, that’s the fastest time recorded for a R35 around the track.

The new Fast and the Furious is also in the making now and Mine’s has send their second R35 to the US where it will debut in the new movie. Don’t forget you read it here for the first time lol.

The weave of the carbon on their demo R35 is just perfect, there’s so much attention to detail. 

  

MCR posts even faster time on Fuji

MCR was testing their R35 GT-R yesterday on the Fuji Speedway and they now recorded a time of 1:52.2. Mine’s posted a time 1:52.8 during the HKS 35th anniversary day.

So it seems that Mine’s and MCR are really breaking ground here with there parts. Hope to see some other tuners doing the same thing like Top Secret, Nams and HKS.
