Just a ordinary day at the Fuji Speedway.

This yellow R33 is capable of pushing 1000bhp, but the owner detuned it for athis trackday to 650bhp. It was on of the fastest that day with a laptime of 1.56

The white R35 looks good in the back, so does his older brother; the silver R33 with BBS wheels

Good looking 350Z surrounded.

A Spec V in red? I’ll rather take the black one.

GT-R contender

The last few days I have been checking what was driving around the Nürburgring in Germany, I live a three hour drive from the circuit 🙂 Al these rumors about the new Spec V and Lexus LF-A had made me curious. Now Lexus has even upped the ante with this ‘new’ LF-A. They have showed up at the track with this monster and I mean that in a good way.

1

This car looks more like a race prepared car than a normal LF-A road car. The car has a newly designed front bumper with a bigger airdam and canards.

2

From the side I think it looks alot like the old Supra, so this to me this will be the successor of the Supra. Massive rims hides the even more impressive brake assembly, and we can see a quick acces fuel cap.

3

In the rear we see this huge spoiler for extra downforce, I’m not sure wether this car will be has been build to break the record at the Nürburgring or that Lexus is testing their 24 hours Le mans entry. Their are rumors that Lexus will be entering this years race.

More rumors about the Nissan R35 GT-R Spec V

The internet is buzzing again with the arrival of more rumors about the new Nissan GT-R Spec V.

Scott Oldham from Edmunds Inside Line had the following to say.

It’s official, there will be a 2010 Nissan GT-R Spec V and it will be sold in America. A Nissan source has confirmed that a lightweight, more powerful version of the new supercar is nearly complete and will arrive in America about a year after the GT-R hits U.S. dealers early next summer.

Another source confirmed the following

200kilos lighter thanks to Carbon Fibre and no rear seats, New trick LSD, rumored to have more power, comes in limited edition colours ( bayside blue and midnight purple ), half cage and Volk wheels…….quite possibly the ultimate and rare as rocking horse doodoo.

But to me these are all still rumors and no fact. We will just have to wait for info from Nissan itself and i’m positive they will reveal something during the Tokyo Auto Salon 2008.

What I do know for a fact is that Nismo will be presenting parts for the R35 GT-R during the TAS 2008.

Nissan R35 GT-R Super Taikyu Racer or V-spec?

This car was spotted during the Nismo Festival on the Fuji Speedway. The rumor mill is already in full swing. But here you will read the latest and most accurate info about this car

Dino Dalle Carbonare had a chat with someone at Nismo regarding this car.

First off it only made an appearance on Saturday during the set up of the Nismo Festival at Fuji, so I was not able to see it with my own eyes. It was its second outing (and final one for 2008) having already been out in Suzuka with the GT car. It is the first step Nissan are taking in the possible development of a production-based race car. They are currently checking if the car will be able to meet and pass certain regulations set by racing series around the world, not only Japan. They need to see if the car an be eligible for entry into these series and if modifications for homologation will be needed. Make of this what you will but its pretty obvious that the rumored performance/track-spec variant of the R35 is underneath the body of this car. Plus it also goes along with the announcement by Nissan that the development of the performance variant (people are already calling it V-spec) will start in February. So now the two shakedown tests have been done at Suzuka and Fuji the car will be ready to go from Feb.
