I guess any excuse is a good excuse to showcase this car right? The people in Australia are in for a treat because they will be able to see this car up close at the World Time Attack Challenge.

HKS EVO X Laps Tsukuba

With Nobuteru behind the wheel of the new HKS EVO X CZ200S, HKS achieved a new record time on Tsukuba with a best lap time of 59.5 seconds. This means it’s currently the fastest X on Tsukuba with a large margin.

Sunline 350Z

Just found some picture of the new Sunline 350Z, with their new aero. I just love the sideskirts with the edgy look, it flows well with the rest of the car and what about that matt black ‘diffusor’? The massive spoiler is from Voltex, I think it’s a bit too big for the car but I guess it serves it purpose when driving on Tsukuba.

Amuse R35 GT-R Phantom

I was just browsing throught the Amuse website, and they had some new pictures up of their R35 and parts. They have been real busy in developing a new front diffusor, exhaust system and two ECU’s of wich they say can release 500bhp out of the VR38 engine.

I just love the look of this car, I know a lot of people don’t like the spoiler but I think it suits the car for what it is. A Time Attack build monster that wil surely destroy some records on Tsukuba.

Here are some close up pics of the front diffusor, it just looks factory. Amazing detail build by Amuse.

RC Development R35 in Time Attack

RC Development, famous for their EVO’s, is going to compete in the UK Time Attack that will be held on Oulton Park this weekend. I wonder how it will fare against the other contenders.

The car is standard except for the tires, RC has swapped them for Toyo’s

GT-R laps the Grüne Holle even faster

Today I got an heads up on some more news regarding the Nissan GT-R. The GT-R recorded an even faster time of 7 minutes and 29 seconds. The time was recorded during testing on the Nurburgring on the 16th and 17th of April.

At last year’s testing, we were frustrated by the conditions at the Nurburgring, always believing that the GT-R could go under seven minutes 30 seconds.” said Kazutoshi Mizuno, Chief Vehicle Engineer for GT-R. “Below seven minutes 30 seconds, the GT-R proves it is among the fastest mass-production cars in the world. We set out to build a multi-performance supercar accessible to anyone, anytime and anywhere – I believe the GT-R has delivered that promise

The car that was used was in standard trim and had no extra modifications, for the tires they used the standard Japanese market tires. The driver was Tochio Suzuki, he is the chief test driver for Nissan.

Varis MKsport Cyber EVO 5

I’m a huge fan of Time Attack events, especially the ones that are held on Tsukuba. Offcourse there are other tracks but they don’t give me the same feeling when I’m watching a hotlap from the Mspeed R34 around Tsukuba.

Alot of tuners are also using Fuji Speedway for a timed attack. This time it was the Cyber Evo 5 that tried and better their game. MCR and Mine’s allready did a timed attack and got some impressive times with there Nissan GT-R’s. MCR got a time of 1:52.2 and Mine’s achieved a time of 1:52.8.

The Cyber EVO did it a little bit quicker 😉 they had a record time of 1:48.9. Offcourse this car was made for Time Attack, so it wasn’t a surprise for me that they are quicker

The car in the back is a Mazda FD RX7 build by R magic, it recorded a time 1:49.4. R Magic has also entered D1GP this year with a FD.

Here you see the time slip. The Cyber EVO on top, followed closely by the R Magic FD. You can see one of the R35’s in the back of the second picture but I do not know who owns those cars. I could also be privateers that went around the track

The car is running a 2.2 liter stroker kit from JUN. the rims are a set of Rays RE30 and the bodykit is from Varis. I really have a thing for these older models, the newer Evo’s are to sleek, I like the edgy look of this EVO 5. Too bad this bodykt isn’t for sale, because it’s a one off.
